Description: The Midwest Black Law Students Association conference will be held in downtown Indianapolis February 19 – 21, 2015 at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel and the Marion County Courthouse. One of the highlights of the conference is a moot court and mock trial competition. Students will be participating in the competition from law schools across the region.

Description: The US District Court’s annual Black History Month program is scheduled on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm, in Courtroom 202.

This is a free program and the room will fill quickly – please arrive early to ensure seating. Remember to bring your DL/ID with you to clear security in the Federal Courthouse.

Professor Jakobi Williams, Associate Professor in the Department of History at Indiana University – Bloomington, is the keynote speaker. Professor Williams will provide an objective presentation with emphasis on educating the audience on how and why the party began and its community impact, differences among chapters, significant events, and the party’s unofficial decommissioning.

One hour of CLE credit is pending approval.
